How It Works
Step 1: Information Gathering
We'll get on the phone to talk about your project. We'll assess your needs and make sure I'm the right developer for the job. We'll look at our schedules and make sure we agree on the timeline.
Step 2: Assembling a Team
WebNiyom is a web development shop. In order to get your website designed, you will need a web designer. If you already have a designer, we'll have them on the initial call. If you need a recommendation, we'll discuss that during step 1. (If this is confusing, see the FAQ below.)
Step 3: Development
After your designer is finished with the design files, we can set an official development timeline. Development of a custom website typically takes 4-6 weeks after the design is complete.
Step 4: Launch
After the site has passed all checks and been given the green light, we will move your site to the live server.
Frequently Asked Questions
Think of how buildings are made. There is an architect who does the drawings and construction workers who do the building. The architect doesn’t lay bricks and the plumber doesn’t create blueprints.
I’m the construction worker. Your architect will draw plans and turn those design files over to me.
Expect development costs to start around $3,000. Some sites cost $8,000, some $12,000, some even more. The difference will depend on what you need the website to do and also on the complexity of the design files.
And remember this is only development, designer fees are separate.
The WebNiyom system is user-friendly and you can add articles, add news events, create new pages, change your navigation items, and many other things without coding. You’ll have access to training videos that will show you the most common options and functions.
There is also the option to select a maintenance plan where I will make all changes and updates for you.
Yes. All WebNiyom sites are “responsive.” This means that they will change depending on screen size.
Your designer may have a different policy, but for development, full payment is required before work begins.
That will depend on the scope of work. Typically it will be, but we’ll discuss this in our initial call.
This is up to the designer. Development of the site will follow the approved design files. All design revisions will need to be complete before development work starts.
This is a huge subject and I’m happy to discuss any detail, but for the sake of this FAQ: your site will have everything it needs to be SEO friendly. If you have specific requirements, we will discuss this during the initial call.
See the hosting and maintenance page for details.
